Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

  • The application form is available in the case of the original applicant. Provide proof of change of address or other information.
  • If applicants do not have proof of change of address, he can certify the document to the following persons
    • Gazetted Officer - Group A
    • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
    • Gazetted Officer - Group B
    • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
    • Tehsildar
    • Head of Recognized Education Institution
    • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
    • Recognized shelter homes/Orphanages
    • Officer EPFO
  • Then , you must visit the closest Aadhaar Center along with this application form for the alteration of your address and you can apply online for a change in address on the Aadhaar No. using this address change link

UIDAI permits cardholders with Aadhaar cardsto change their address and without the need of documentation. Aadhaar cardholders were permitted to change their address, if they could not prove proof of identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily suspended a vital service that lets you change your Aadhaar card's address, without identity proof.

UIDAI lets customers of Aadhaar cards to change their address without the need for the need for documentation. Aadhaar card holders are able to update their address only if they are able to consent to the authentication that the address verifyer. An address verifier could be a family member, friend or landlord that will allow the Aadhaar card holder to verify their address.

UIDAI is now stopping this feature. UIDAI addressed an Aadhaar Card user by tweeting the ability to update address on Aadhaar Card using an Address Validation Form was canceled. UIDAI has requested for the Aadhaar issuer to remind users that they are able to change their address by using another valid PoA document.

UIDAI offers the following documents listed as POA documents (Proof of Address) documents that contain the name and address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not older that 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older that 3 months)

Summary of Credit Card (not longer than 3 months).

A signed letter with a photograph from a business registered on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Parent's passport (in for minors)

Central/ State Govt. Initiated an allotment to accommodate. (Not more than 3 years)

Bhamashah/Jan Aadhaar card issued Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate from the Superintendentor Warden/ Matron/ Head Of Institution of a recognized shelter orphanages, etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
